Raw beets with pickled fermented onions and mixed with protein and omega 3 goodness and anti viral, antibacterial cinnamon. This snack and condiment is a tasty way to curb cravings and nourish yourself.

To prepare you will need.

Mixing bowl

Fork

Ingredients.

1 tennis ball sized raw beetroot with skin on

4 small pickled onions

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar

1/4 cup water

2 Tablespoons chia seeds

1 Dessert spoon psyllium husk

1 Dessert spoon linseeds whole

7 dried baking dates or 5 fresh medjool dates

Method

Soak dates in 1/2 cup boiling water for 20 mins until soft. Drain and discard water. Mash dates with fork until into a pulp. Add dates to mixing bowl. Grate beetroot (the size of a tennis ball) into your mixing bowl. Grate the pickled onions into your mixing bowl. Add all other ingredients together in your mixing bowl and stir.

Transfer mixture into the glass jar and secure lid.

Enjoy straight away. Store in refrigerator and consume within 2 months.

Beetroot Rich in fiber, antioxidants, vitamin B9, vitamin C, manganese, potassium and iron. Beetroot is known to improve blood flow and lower blood pressure. Eaten raw – none of the nutrients are denatured.

Psyllium Relieves constipation, may lower blood sugar levels, can lower cholesterol, is good for the heart and helps as a prebiotic.

Whole Linseed Acts as a broom in your colon when consumed whole.

Chia seed large amounts of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, high in protein.

Pickled onions Fermented foods contain high amounts of good probiotics and digestive enzymes.

Apple Cider Vinegar Use raw with the Mother. I use Braggs brand. Can improve digestion. improved insulin sensitivity. increases satiety to help you feel full, lowers cholesterol.

Cinnamon Anti-viral, anti bacterial, anti-fungal. Contains antioxidants, is anti inflammatory. Reduces blood pressure, lowers blood sugar. Relieves digestive discomfort.
